On 22nd of October 2019 we held a commemoration at the Gate of Dawn in Vilnius remembering the heroes who took to the streets and supported the Hungarian revolution.

Today, on the occasion of the remembrance of the revolution and war of independence of 23rd of October 1956, our Embassy - in cooperation with the management of the city - laid a wreath in Kaunas at the Lithuanian-Hungarian monument in Ramybes Memoir-Park.

"Annus Mirabilis - 30 years of Freedom" exhibition in Trakai

The "Annus Mirabilis - 30 years of Freedom" exhibition will be on display in Trakai between 6-26 October. The exhibition commemorates the events of the change of the Hungarian regime between 1988-90.

Hungarian programs at the Transmission cultural festival

The Hungarian days were successful in the international art festival "Transmission", which was held on September 14-15 in Trakai.

The exhibition of 30 years freedom in Hungary takes place in Klaipeda between 9-28 September

The "Annus Mirabilis - 30 years of Freedom" exhibition will be on display in Klaipeda between 9-28 September, in the Klaipėda’s Ievos Simonaitytės Library. The exhibition commemorates the events of the change of the Hungarian regime between 1988-90. On the opening ceremony speech was given by Ambassador Gábor Diczházi, Arvydas Česiulis, Deputy Mayor of Klaipeda, and Toma Gergelienė, Head of the Book lending Department.

Handover-takeover ceremony of the BAP mission

Between 1st of May 2019 and 2nd of September 2019, Hungary led the Baltic Air Policing mission (BAP) responsible for the air defence of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Holy Mass was celebrated in Hungarian language in the Saint Ladislaus Chapel, Vilnius

On 30th of July 2019 in the Saint Ladislaus Chapel of the Cathedral of Vilnius, Holy Mass was celebrated in Hungarian language for the Hungarian pilgrims on their tour in Lithuania.
